When Courage Frays At The Seams

Like a clock

Ambitions chime

Like a frog

I’ll take one leap at a time

Turning back seems

Inviting, but forward is forward

Even when courage frays at the seams

And pressing on seems awkward

I’ll pat my own back

And carry on with faltering steps

On this narrow path

With its twists and turns
