Vicissitudes Of Life

Under the reign of destiny

Opposites often command  

Today it may kiss you upon the brow 

Tomorrow slap you on the face

Some people born rich 

Some born poor

Do not envy others’ joy

Their hidden hardships

You do not know

When you are stricken by despair

Do not forget

New hopes await your call

Let your sorrow die at night      

While you are slumbering

And you will awake in the morning  

With a happy resolution

Let laughter be your goal

Let it chase your tears away  

Let failure be the steps

That lead to success 

Let the roar of life  

Turn into a melody

No one can escape the end

But remember 

There will be another beginning 

So hold on to the golden time

And dissipate the shadows
