Life never the same

Gained entry through its portal

Sold body, mind, soul

Told herself thoughout

She remained in control

Enveloped in wealth, power

Mingled amongst stars

Attired in designer clothes

Had access to luxury cars

Signature perfume

Crafted to specification

Constantly chasing

Unachievable expectations

Family, friends

Left far behind

Searching for approbation

She would never find

In this new world by default

Obvious for all to see

Not one of their own
