To Thee Alone

Manifold vision of desire,

look upon thyself in verse:

How beautiful you are to me

   the priceless qualities of thee

   thy shining femininity

for no man ever has a treasure held

    more dearly or with more desire

than I with adoration do

    the universe, the seas of you.

And I would seek thy dreams

and I would dream with thee

   that we might each of us

   a wing on some unknown

   golden bird of paradise

   fly through time and pain

my being --- a mirror to thine own.
