The Unknown Future

There are times in life

all things are good and bright

Head high, vision far 

with confidence

we stride forward

We forget these moments 

are not forever

There are times in life

everything proceeds orderly

We know each turn and twist

before we reach there

as if there is a flow chart

for us to follow

We never think of chaos

that might lurk around the corner

There are other times in life 

we are trapped in a maze

Repeatedly we run into blind alleys

and struggle to find the way out

while the exit is actually very near 

There are times in life

roads are bumpy

the sky is dark

hope is fading

In despair we never believe 

good fortune is awaiting
