The Reality Triangle

Poppa reflects upon life's realiites and how they relate to Paulie, his only son

————

Unlike the peaceful prince who once challenged the powerful by suggesting he was a King and accepted the crucified punishment, Poppa softly in control, tapped the zebra telling him, ‘pull the cart closer to the Land Of Crosses.’

Reality stated, ‘proper bottom line, needed to look the part’ and just royal blood did not pay the bills. Meeting aristocratic Momma who during the courtship presented, ‘having practical bank account money secure,’ he made a sound decision, creating a firm social foundation.

“But, what about his son, Paulie?” the Father figure searched for answers, peering at the message staring into his eyes, “Paulie has royal blood, good finances, but does not know what reality wants,”

Across the border lies a Castle, financed by Momma and Poppa. Funding the housing project sent, a peaceful message when translated proclaimed, ‘lifelong understanding that Poppa never ignored the internal family mission desire’. Princess Lida lives there comfortably, and they attend school together. Her reality, ‘is trying for a companionship with Paulie, who could be debated, has the same moral commitments’. While classroom time is not in session she guards from the balcony, watching the aristocrat royals.

Becky Sue, the village gypsy, does not come from money and there is no royal connection. She stands by him as a good friend despite the two only having a local community similarity. Her reality could be defined, humble, and an honest level-headed individual.

Born into wealth Paulie carries a curse, being an offspring to a relationship that turned its back on wishes, the above handed down. Through the maturing years, Poppa noticed his sons diplomatic leadership handling two relationships, respectfully. His reality has the resulting potential described as, ‘required, a proper strategic advice delivery, showing that he has the power to confront any situation.’

Finished reflecting, Poppa hinted telling the zebra it was time to leave. Feeling very confident about reality, he proceeded home. Arriving safely, he noticed Paulie and his two peers discussing, communicating, and his son occupied the table’s head. Unhitching the zebra, the four-legged striped creature gratefully returned to grazing. Walking past the recreational adolescent scene, he asked,

“How are you kids doing?”

“Fine,” they replied in unison, watching him enter the kitchen.

With a forceful stance Momma created another culinary masterpiece, “Paulie, do your friends want to stay for dinner?”

All three shrugged their shoulders and affirmatively responded.

“Momma, are you cooking for an army?” Poppa asked.

“That is my reality, Poppa,” she answered giving him a kiss on the cheek realizing the victorious productive day ended positively.
