The Plunge

The nature eyes me.

It sees me busy

in my daily screen attire.

I worship the alcove idol

and lift my head

to change the wallpaper

of my screen.

My screen is a fortune teller

It makes me work my lifeline and

I work to make it work.

Keys rest on my phone

and they invite me to workout

with the app blinking weight-free

movements.

If papers don't resemble

leaves on the trees

My hands don't become a lifeline

which my digital half shares.

There is not complete obliteration

of screens and small alcoves of faith

Tiny and many thoughts

rest and wake each day

to plunge into the wall clock beating

above my library.
