The Juncture

I know not how to speak of this

Never planned for it to be

But here it is in front of me

Too ugly not too see

You never plan for love to leave

Once it has come to stay

Nor all the dreams of happiness

To ever go astray

And with the days that ended

As you laid down in the bed

Thoughts of beautiful days to come

Filled your weary head

Sometimes those days

Came bounding in

Mostly, they did not

But when they did you relished them

The others you forgot

Now looking back on all those years

It’s hard to pinpoint when

Unhappiness and vexation

Burrow beneath your skin

And now you stand at the precipice

That's crazy to have to say

Where now it’s time that you decide

What you should do today

At any rate it's going to be

A very hard decision

But the question to be answered is:

Are you living your true life's vision?
