Shiva Calls

I wanted to describe the subtelty of relationships with Shiva, the beloved friend.

I’m most at ease when I think about you

I’m either thinking of you or forgetting to

One or the other, not both at once.

Is it easy, you say, or is it difficult?

You like to sweetly play with me in this way

To keep me light and uncluttered.

Yet deep in my heart of hearts

I truly do - want to be closest to only you

Closer to you more than any human being.

So I call on all my courage

Riding with it as a free spirit, a free bird.

O child of mine, you think

I’m the beloved of yours,

Friend of yours,

I can see us on the horizon

And its magnificent

Together we are destroying the dark

You and I. And those angels of light

Eternally belonging to you.
