Rush

Rush around the rings of fire

Tell yourself you’re not a liar 

Wash your hands with soap and water

Time will tell; you’re falling harder

And failing fast this pace won’t last 

But wait once more and days will pass

Before too long your skin’s on fire 

And if nothing else, press down harder

The point is pain I can’t explain

My nerves are numb the endings frayed 

I tell myself that I’m insane

But really I just can’t complain 

I never thought I’d get this way

But now it’s here, it’s here to stay
