Rural Family Paradise

Home Is The Proper Paradise For Poppa And Family

————

Another day called it quits and Poppa slowly climbed the two wooden steps that led to the porch. Taking a deep breath before sitting down the family matriarch stared into space seeing Princess Lida’s castle he funded through hard labor and the land of crosses highlighted the other direction.

“This home has always been a paradise,” he thought perspiring in the heated temperatures, “mountains beaches are close, a lovely village with nice people as neighbors and all four calendar seasons, who could ask for anything more?”

“Farmer’s almanac says the winter is going to be very cold,” Momma’s kitchen report interrupted, “can you get sand for the path?”

“Tomorrow, Momma,” Poppa answered then repeated, “tomorrow,”

Early morning, saw the zebra assist in running the preparation errand to buy road salt. Upon returning with the purchase Poppa and Paulie stored the protection for the upcoming bitter time.

“Winter is not that bad here, Poppa,” Paulie remarked.

“No, son just another paradise vision,”

Like clockwork the weather prediction ended up accurate and during festive time the colorful light displays featured a snowy postcard image, sending heavenly holiday greetings for those trimming trees. Glowing fireplace warmth presented a different feel from the summer humidity and this magical sensation brought a healthy bonding to everybody.

When all the work found itself complete the trio relaxed relishing in the holiday atmosphere created by completing a task.

“Storm is picking up,” Momma took a seat on Poppa’s lap and Paulie sipped hot cocoa eating a cookie, “are you going to shovel us out? Poppa,”

“Maybe we should consider ourselves trapped here together in paradise,” Poppa smiled,

“Paradise! It is below freezing outside,” Momma stopped short,

“And our love here makes it paradise,” Poppa laughed.
