My psyche needs a fix..

Time for a Road Trip…

Stop at a few bars

along my lone way 

Led by shooting stars

Will it prove to be

the true Mother Road

I know not I seek?

Open road, clear mind

soul freed to breathe

This I ask to find:

Adventure and fun,

A ghostly bromide:

Lucy Lane’s yarn spun

Scope out Grand Canyon

Awe and wonder.

Sedona’s welcome

I’ll cruise, hum along

America the Beautiful!

Spirit soaring strong….

All of it I’ll see

Absorb and relish

then back home for me

Will I have changed, grown?

Will it matter?

Psyche-stress gone, flown

Road Trip, Route 66!
