Power of Happiness

Happiness is to see you

The moment I enter the rehab 

You greet me with a beaming smile

Like the warm sun in the cold winter

I don’t know how long you have been waiting 

Patiently and anxiously in your wheelchair

For my unscheduled unannounced visit        

Without fail you always meet me by the door 

I see your hope temporarily revived   

Though your pain and worry do not lessen

But for the few hours we share together

Happiness overpowers the rest
