Nature Heals

His confidence collapsed

His world was dimmed

His days went gray

He sank into despair

He was given medications

Without improvement

Counselling was provided

But to no avail

Then he was led to a barren garden

Monotonously he tilled the soil

Aimlessly he sowed the seeds

Uncaringly he watered the land

Then one day he noticed

Tiny seedlings sprouted

Like little miracles

They attracted his attention

He watched them growing

With expectation

He nurtured the plants

Waited for them to bloom

In this quiet field

No peer pressures

No disdainful eyes

No further trample on his self-esteem

A sense of control returned

Long-lost aspiration recurred

A healing therapy from Nature

Was working on him
