My special friend,

Who couldn't see me,

But could feel me,

He was completely different than others

My special friend,

Like a long-lasting scent of flowers in the hallway,

Like a cold breeze from the sea,

I was glad that I knew you.

My special friend,

Once found a seashell like it's a secret treasure,

While on a stroll across the seashore,

His song of joy was a heaven to my ears.

My special friend,

Told me that strangers often laughed at him,

He got scared I might feel embarrassed of him,

But he soon learnt I would never abandon him.

My special friend,

He divulged his stories to me,

He trusted me with his past,

In tears he felt like a huge weight was lifted from his shoulder.

My special friend,

Crying at nights in his room,

Staring into the future he deemed to be bleak,

Wondering why he was born different.

My special friend,

He used to wonder whether he would ever be good in anything,

One day he discovered his musical talent,

And since then he mesmerized people with his magical tunes.

My special friend,

He realized that he was rare,

And that made him feel special,

And vowed to inspire others like him.

My special friend,

He is truly one of a kind,

A person who dreams big,

And believe there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
