I Came As A...

I Came As A Distant Call

(Engineered Imagination)

Once upon a time Earth existed,

but the ever-expanding Universe

imbalanced the Milky Way;

explosions came from all sides.

comets and cosmic debris made

an impact. Few intergalactic civilizations gave

some help, but only few spaceships

managed to evacuate intact.

Now, humans live in another nebula.

Trees were once the pride of their home,

but now they are just practical

modified art expression

of a long-distanced pra-pra-civilization.

The leaves are buttons of function.

They trigger action. The branches are

well-thought service divisions

evoking feeling of all seasons

-producing oxygen with aroma of mountain,

of blooming meadows, of mystic ocean,

of snow or sounds of rain.

So, they can navigate the mood of the day.

They do not bare fruits,

but give you delicious nutritious juice.

The trees can sing songs of all kinds of birds

that once were nesting on earth;

The trees produce breeze or playful winds,

animal calls of mating and love,

sounds of thunders and roar.

They can change the colors of the décor.

Only, only...one thing they don’t do

(I have to admit, as a person who came to you

from the future). When you hug them,

you cannot feel them friendly and sweet,

because they have no roots and soul.

Now you know what are going to be

the trees of the future.

They are product of engineered imagination.

Did I mention, I came as a distant call?

That’s all.
