Graveyard and Their Dreams

A person buried in the graveyard can

Carry a life, still unsettled.

The grave is turning and the wicked moon is rising, also

The sun in the morning was not balmy

Although –

Dreams are not buried in the graveyard

They can burn like a black coal in reality.

In the abode of existence outside the grave and

In the four walled house which seems like a jail to her,

Each breath is counted.

A struggle for life awaits her.

“Your husband is buried peacefully in the grave,” says the world to her

Yet, the vividly haunting plight tortures her daily

All their shared dreams and aspirations are buried

In the graveyard along with his body disappearing slowly, under the mud

After the earthquake had shaken their home,

It was his turn to be under the mud and rest in the new home below

But, he could not rest there in peace.

He heard their children crying

He felt in his heart that

Darker shades of their tears

Will grow like cancer in their heart

Their future has been forsaken

Like expired medicines,

Turning them to

Lifelong patients –

Diseased with life.
