Fruits Of Peace

Conflict 

may be borne of hatred

Privilege 

Competition

Greed

Yet these are not its root causes

Only things which feed the true source

Of what lies at the heart

of such motivations:

Fear

Fear of those who are different

Of those who might rise against us

Taking what we have

Or possessing what we desire

And what is at the core of fear?

Ignorance: 

that which we do not know

The spectre haunting our waking dreams

Thus is conflict born

Of ignorance and fear

And so may be addressed

With Knowledge

Understanding

Trust

Unity

For, clothed in such armor

May hatred, privilege, competition, greed

be turned away

Thus blunting conflict

And enabling Cooperation

So that together,

 we all may enjoy

The fruits of Peace
