Friendship
/From the mind of a poet’s philosophy of friendship.
————
I find myself pondering on the meaning of friendship. The love of friends can be very important in life. I know when I am at my wits end and the bottom ring of a ladder, I only need a helping hand from a friend I trust. But having a true friend means being a true friend to experience the special warmth you must be willing to share your heart.
The need and desire to be loved is reason enough for friendship. The need to express your inner- self to someone you trust. Knowing they will understand and not judge you…They will laugh with you not at you. They will cry with you and hold you, so you do not have to cry alone.
No matter what path you take they will walk with you yet take their own path along life’s journey. Two beings alike and yet so different. You do not pass judgement with friends you pass experiences, knowledge, and love. Friendships are a human basic need for companionship.
Indeed, today I will trust to be trusted. And reach my hand out to a friend! I will promise to listen with my heart and walk softly treading lightly upon your soul. Always treasuring my friend’s life as I would my own and put myself in their shoes of series of events to better understand where they are coming from. Trusting in them to do the same for me.
Today I will be open to trust in the relationship of friends
