Forest Hike

Hiking using lanterns and flashlights is a grand idea. However, if it's extremely dark and the forest floor is dense, there will probably be dangers lurking around you.

We started out at twilight.

Our plan was to hike all night.

Each one of us had a flashlight.

We had lanterns for additional light.

Plus, the moon supplied beautiful moonlight.

Things were progressing well until midnight.

We heard Polly scream: “It’s a snakebite!”

Dr. Doug ran to her side to inspect the site.

Luckily, her pain was caused by more than one termite.

They cleaned her sting area and wrapped it tight.

The team agreed to return to camp before daylight.

Everyone agreed that hikes in the forest were safer in sunlight.
