Feelings Of You

This poem "Feelings of You" shows how comfortable we feel with another person when we are in love.

With you,

I hear the song birds

singing in the early morning,

I’m in my comfort zone

lacking any hardships,

I have a joyous heart.

Without you,

the pit of my stomach aches,

a feeling of emptiness

engulfs my inner body,

sadness lives in my eyes,

I’m broken-hearted.

With you,

there is a feeling of deep affection

full of pleasure,

overwhelmed with emotion.

Without you,

a desolate empty feeling

where no one understands,

unable to find my way,

curling up in a ball,

tears falling from my eyes.

Together,

there is a sensation of heat,

an inner flame burning

connecting our hearts,

a feeling of real, vulnerable intimacy.

Together,

we have moral strength,

a quality to defeat

difficulties without fear,

reaching a better life

uniting as one.
