Bright Eyes

Hollow eyes still glow

Under the right light.

She stares into nothing,

Illuminating every diluted thought

The masses deem indigestible.

Her blank stare tells more stories than words ever could

As overlooked goodness spills like a fountain from overburdened shoulders,

Forcing my trembling hands to sift through lint-lined pockets for uncirculated change.

A penny for your thoughts

And a dollar for you time.

Either way,

A misty moonlight stare is worth the price of admission
