Unclear Standards

"Unclear Standards" is a poem that describes the moment one realizes the standards of his relationship are not clear. It's a nebulous concept with the details hazy. One lives in a fantasy world because the definition has not been defined until reality snaps.

Words left unspoken, nothing defined,

basking in fantasy

when the floor beneath

suddenly shakes.

Hairline cracks

visible on the wall,

panic and fear

in the haze of night,

reality snaps

like a dear in headlights.
