Oh, we are beautiful,

Effervescent energy

Shimmering youth

No concept of reality

Innocent minds

Fresh faced charm

Follow idealistic pursuits

Use our power to disarm

Dance, sing, dream

Of changing society

We oppose injustice

Fight for vulnerable humanity

Maturity altering priorities?

Beyond comprehension

Disappointed in parents

Dismissive of older generation

Until adulthood encroaches 

Commitments, domesticity 

And, we too, surrender 

Baton of responsibilty
