Sun In The Falling Rain

Looking out the window,

watching the dark clouds come in.

Full of rain to dampen the day. 

Sipping a coffee, staring off.

Thoughts are full of past sunny days

where everything was clear and bright.

It made pathways so easy to see

and climb to the very top. 

Those clear days make the dark ones hard.

All i see out the window is a downpour,

creating a lost emotion within

that I am not prepared for. 

Taking deep breaths to clear the thoughts

and embrace the positive rays

that are slipping through the clouds

to lift those days of drak gloom

and focus on the sun showing

in even the falling rain.
