"Stay At Home Road Trip" is a poem which encourages us to take an adventure in our own hometown. 

There's no need to travel to destinations unknown. Discover new places by just taking a step out your front door.

Hey there…

grab your keys,

we’re going on a road trip

or maybe

a walk about.

There’s a whole world out there 

just waiting on us to explore,

but first

we’ve got to take that first step

and put our foot

out the door.

No need to panic,

we don’t need to go too far,

perhaps just a walk down the street

or travel down the road by car.

Let’s take a moment 

to get to know

our own little corner of the world, 

before we jet off

to a land unknown. 

For all I know, 

there’s a story to tell,

places to see

that are totally hidden

from view,

that’s a gem

to me and you.

So, come along 

let’s wander about

and see what we can find,

maybe we’ll discover a perfect spot

in this little old town

of mine.
