Close your eyes

So that you may see. 

Sit comfortably erect and alert. 

Avoid any slumber. 

Listen for the quiet.

Deny all thoughts and their intrusion.

Make every thought a leaf.

A leaf floating steadily down the creek.

Allow your heart to be calm and meek. 

begin to chant the name of the Lord.

In an aura of silence. 

where the heart itself prayers for you.

you may see the third heaven.
