Princess Lida is trying to understand how her Prince Paulie and his Becky Sue have happiness.

Early morning mist moisten the scene, displaying a refreshing glow as Princess Lida trekked down to the village for scholastic social interaction and upon arrival smiled, “it’s a beautiful day,” Prince Paulie acknowledged, and the royal daughter turned around wondering if her future decision maker realized what it actually looked outside.

“Nothing can dampen the day’s spirit,” he continued

“Tranquil and,” Becky Sue added,

“Treacherous, nearly slipped, this ground is like ice,” Princess Lida commented.

When studies were complete the three friends separated, and Princess Lida went back towards the castle. Putting her books down, she grabbed a cool drink from the refrigerator, headed up to her room and welcomed the isolated quiet. Taking things outside, sitting on the balcony the sun warmed the situation, slowly sipping from the chalice, the Princess reflected.

Looking straight ahead. Poppa, Momma and Paulie worked the field while the zebra pondered the ways of the world, grazing. Turning her head towards the right, the woods had an adventurous lure, tempting the visitor to find the small tree marker announcing crossing over to the other side. Towards the left the ‘Land of Crosses’ featuring invisible protective power built on sacrifice and forgiveness stood guard sending an honest message.

Quietly the monarchy member privately interpret, “they consider themselves aristocrats, Poppa ended their bloodline by marrying Momma securing a financial future, finding peace and happiness with the lifestyle, a strong family commitment inside a humble cottage.”

Closing her eyes, shielding the brightness, bringing soothing heat, Princess Lida wondered, “will Prince Paulie accept his destiny and return to the throne for love not money?”

Next day when class broke the matriarch confronted both Prince Paulie and Becky Sue, “how do you find so much happiness when the temperature freezes and the skies are dark?”

Removing his lips from the plastic straw the affluent well-spoken Paulie replied, “between the time when we give and until we experience forgiving sacrifice, we have to make the best of a bitter frigid situation, winter. This is our challenge, our test and facing these conflict successfully makes us stronger in our soul,”

“Basically, it gives us happiness,” Becky Sue the villager summarized the speech.

Later that evening Princess Lida rested her thoughts. “Prince Paulie is right, only with adversity can one find happiness through overcoming plight.” Falling asleep Princess Lida fell into a dream like state hoping answers will surface, showing true friendship bonding, presenting trusting qualities similar to those Prince Paulie and Becky Sue have in their community.
