If I Went Back In Time

If I went back in time

and saw you again 

Sitting in the shade 

with a furrowed brow,

writing with your pen. 

Would I turn back and leave, 

to spare myself the pain?

The answear is no; 

I would do it all again. 

For in that moment, I saw destiny's sign.

Travelling forward with your hand in mine.

I'd embrace the joy, the heartache, the strife.

In the story of us, I'd relive every life.
