Hard To Watch

What I see today

is hard on the heart.

Hard to watch.

You are a man

that I admire to this day.

A personal hero.

Your strength in how

you have carried

your own dignity

is second to none.

That is why

seeing you is hard to watch.

As you get older,

your body and mind

are showing signs of slipping.

Happening so fast,

reminds me that

soon you will be gone.

I am not ready for that.

That is why

it is so hard to watch.
