Guardian

Her expressive manner

Leaves many uneasy

Find visible emotions

A tad messy

Neither are they impressed

By flamboyant style

Tight-fitting cashmere cardigans

Curves visible from a mile

Do not understand refusal

To take life seriously

Laughing at Fate's whims

Carrying on unceremoniously

Yet, who do they seek

In personal despair

Rushing to her side

Unburdening cares

Guardian of wine fuelled secrets

Dark, shameful revelations

Disappointments, dreams

Wayward contemplations

She listens without judgement

Helps restore equilibrium

Gentle touch soothes

A soul's heartbreak, delirium
