Blooming Creative Writing

A Creative Writing Assignment Blooms Healthy Communication

————

Disturbing dark clouds marched through the blue skies, and Momma frustrated seemed distracted when the shady conditions invaded her day’s work.

“What is wrong?”

Gathering up idled equipment and tools, the family matriarch allowed the heavens to take over, “you know what? Cooling down with a cleansing and an early afternoon cocktail may instigate blooming success and a beautiful landscape,” she commentated, removing herself from the situation.

Running a quick dash sprint following the teacher, blowing the recess whistle, Paulie needed a water break, and stuck his head into the fountain, neighboring the bathroom.

“You must be thirsty,” Princess Lida investigated.

“It’s going to rain,” Paulie took a breath, “we had to come inside.”

“Are you ready for class?” Princess Lida pestered.

“Yes, Princess, I wrote my part to the creative writing assignment, ‘The Veinous Fly Trap”

“Good, I prepared part one, and you wrote the rest,” Princess Lida concluded, escorting Paulie to class where they together recited their story.

While bad weather threatened outside, adding to the gothic setting, Princess Lida and Paulie took turns vocalizing what they put on the page. When complete the sun came out and blue skies guided Paulie home.

“Momma your flower bed started to bloom,” Paulie noted as thunderous behavior returned.

“Earlier today they were dehydrated,” Momma explained, “And now they are full of beauty after getting a nice bath and beverage.”

“What are you doing?” Paulie questioned.

“Now that my Venus Fly Trap is grown up, I need to feed it adult food,” Momma answered, taking a small ant and placing it on the plants tongue.

“You mean those things are real,” Paulie gulped as both rumbling roars clasped and lightning flashed.
