That's Not Her Gift

She paces back and forth,

Back and forth

And I know what she wants

But I won’t allow her to get to it

I show her away when

She finally stops in front of it

She thinks she’s being sneaky

But she’s no ninja

And again she goes

Back and forth,

Back and forth

I keep on stopping her

But she doesn’t learn

That Christmas tree

Is not a cat’s toy
