Sticks and stones break bones, but words they shatter spirits

Bones they tend to mend, an insult indelible once you hear it

Destroying confidence with a comment; cutting down character

Making a mockery of targets and reducing them to caricatures

Insecurities used to belittle, turning cool kids to laughing-stocks

Ridicule inflicting wounds so deep it sends the body into shock

Defamation assassinating morale, pettiness poking holes in pride

Popping pills to try and cope but from this kind of pain you cannot hide
