Yoga Nidra Meditation Script: For Stress

Imagine you are lying down on the soft grass under the shade of a big tree. The wind is blowing quietly brushing your body making it feel like the wind is quietly embracing you. In front of you, there’s a lake in which clear water is flowing slowly. The wind and water are making beautiful calm music which is making you fall in the depths of the sleep. Above you, the sun is shining brightly blessing you with its warm rays.

It's spring season, nature is in its full beauty making the earth more beautiful. Around you, little butterflies of different colors are flying around enjoying the warm day. Sparrows and other birds are hopping and chirping in the blue sky, in the branches of the big tree, around you. Some of those are busy making their home by collecting fallen twigs in their small sharp beaks. Others are just enjoying their life chatting with their fellow members.

Take a deep breath, and try to inhale the freshness and greenery of your surrounding area. Let it fill in your head. Try to relax and steady your breathing. Watch the sky that is above you. Look over the numerous white clouds that are floating above you.

Imagine that the clouds are in the shape of your favorite food. Ice cream, Candies, Cake and all such stuff. You eagerly watch flying your favorite food item. Some clouds are in the shape of your loved ones. It can be your best friend, lover, grandfather, grandmother, mother, father, wife, children, sibs, your favorite teacher, uncle, aunt. Anyone, anyone that you care and respect and love and adore them. Watching their faces instantly calms you down. For a while, you view the beautiful nature. You try to keep the view in your heart and mind so that you don’t forget about it.

Nature’s music fills your ears. Nature’s breath-taking view fills your eyes. It’s lovely and the fresh smell fills your body from the inside. Try to forget everything that worries you. Let the mother earth embraces you. Close your eyes, take some breath. You feel like mother nature is embracing you, stroking your body, mind, and heart with her magical soft touch. The magic starts to work. You feel so light, so calm, so relaxed. By the magical touch of nature, you forget every worry. Stress is miles away from you.

You almost fall into a deep sleep. But your funny and memorable childhood memories make their way in your mind. The scene that you remember the most hugs you tightly. It plays in front of your eyes. How did your mom and dad play with you? How you and your sibs made sandcastles on the beach and when the water drowns the castle you both laugh so much? How did you play with your dog or cat? How you played baseball or cricket or any other sports with your friends? Pleasant memories make their way in your mind. They come and go calming you down. Soon enough, your eyes feel heavy. You close your eyes forgetting everything that’s not useful. With your precious memories, you fall asleep.
