The Goodwill Dream
After a festive social night at the watering pub Poppa's remembers his friendly contributions in a drunken dream.

Around the time, the Lord’s day demonstrated weekly occupation duties replacing Saturday, Poppa concluded a festive village watering hole social evening.
“That is right some one screamed ‘God Save The King’ and I replied, well I got all these ‘in God we trust’ paper notes,” slurred Poppa, a well-funded customer heading out the door proceeding towards the space where the zebra and cart were parked.
Carefully finding his way to the driver’s seat, securely fastening himself into the auto pilot transportation vehicle, signaling the zebra, ‘take control’.
Slowly the zebra plodded along carefully navigating directions homeward bound, “oh Zebra there is the King’s castle in all its affluent glory,” Poppa pathetically professed as the four-legged cabbie halted, “but it wasn’t aways like that, in fact I do remember,”
Now at the complete halt Poppa stumbled out, removed the tack, freeing the zebra, watching him call it a night.
“Go, zebra stand in the middle of it,” Poppa bellowed finding a trunk where he made himself comfortable, venturing into another world.
Watching his dream unspool presenting his triumphant honeymoon return, in love, settling down in a lifelong relationship.
During the relaxing bitter night, braving elements, the door knocked. Poppa quickly answered and Momma heard her new husband acknowledge, “your royal highness.”
“Sir,” the young gentlemen replied with his wife holding a baby girl in their hands, “we are in trouble.”
“What type?”
“We have no money,” the King paused, “and no home.”
Momma entered the scene, instructed the three to come in, ‘it is freezing out there, come, come by the fire”.
Finding a trusting seat the royal family explained their plight, “after your party, our critics confronted us, and made it perfectly clear, we had no finances.”
“No, finances!” The newlywed Momma shrieked.
Being young, innocent and filled with romantic bliss, Momma and Poppa’s aristocratic kindness glowed, bringing searching for guidance warmth.
“You are in need of a home,” Momma told him, “look stay here for a time, and we will build you a castle filled with pride.”
“You do not have to,” the Queen replied.
“Do you need diapers? Dear,” Momma imitated her Mother
“Yes, it is that bad,” the King interrupted, confronting the question.
Not even a half year elapsed, soon a livable structure across the border appeared, allowing the monarch trio a normal existence.
Slowly opening his eyes, Poppa saw the zebra stare, “that is all it took writing checks,” Poppa told him, “oh by the way do I have to clean your stall?”
Affirmatively shaking his head Poppa accepted the zebra’s answer starting a new work day despite being Sunday.
