The Disease

They called us the seven sinners

Labelling themselves the winners

They said we didn’t deserve any love

As though they ruled us from up above

They wouldn’t touch or hold us tight

And hid our illness in the dead of night

They saw our poisoned blood and fled

Long before the remembrance ribbon of red

It would take them years to finally see

Quite how heartbreaking it could truly be

One by one to lose your friends

As they reach their agonising ends

Rest in Peace was what they said

When really what they do is paint the town red

Forever raving in the parties of heaven

Sharing love again, the eternal seven
