The Aristocrat's Concern...
The Aristocrat's Concern For The Royal's Well Being
This is the legendary explanation of how Princess Lida got her castle built
————
Long before Princess Lida’s strategic invasion into Paulie’s social life using a need for inclusion Poppa and Momma were being local aristocrats holding a Tupperware party.
“Momma, such interesting plastic containers,” the half owner to the rural property which resided close to the country’s border commented.
“Yes, they keep everything fresh in the refrigerator,” she replied.
“I had a really wonderful time tonight,” Poppa paused, “didn’t you?”
“Yes, it was a pleasant event to raise money for the village charity to assist someone to do something to make them better,” Momma honestly spoke.
“And the Royals from the other side were able to attend,” Poppa added,
“They have that lovely young girl Lida,” Momma told him as the two started towards the main cottage.
Walking slowly back the pair noticed in the darkness an empty field that Poppa knew was filled with weeds looking to strangle anything in its path.
“We should do something with all that rubbish over there,”
A few days later Poppa found himself pen in hand along with a napkin canvas sketching a drawing, “Yes,” he mumbled “we aristocrats must build a castle for the Royal family on the other side.”
Putting the artistic vision in his pocket he hurried outside and signaled the Zebra, “Zebra, we must go,”
“Where do you need to go Poppa?” Paulie inquired fetching the harness.
“Into the village to the bank,” Poppa answered, “to make a withdrawal.”
“Why do we want to make a withdrawal?”
It was then Poppa decided to explain his plan, “you see son, to ensure the well-being of our relationship with the other side I have decided to build a castle for the Royals,”
“We have the money?” Paulie inquired.
“Yes, we are aristocrats, and we have finances to spend while they are Royals and they have,”
"Almost finished,” Paulie exclaimed securing the final leather apparatus.
Months passed since the loan was approved and Poppa opened the blinds to see the new castle lit up in the night’s sky. “Well, the Royals moved into their new castle today.”
“You mean the one for their well-being,” Momma wanted to confirm.
“Yes, the one we aristocrats funded.”
“You know that Princess Lida has eyes for Paulie,”
“Well, he has many riches besides his looks,” Poppa climbed into bed, “and Momma now the Princess has a castle with a watchtower and will be able to see Paulie’s every move.”
“I guess you are right, Poppa,” Momma agreed turning off the lamp, “it probably would be for Paulie’s well-being to have a Royal engagement in his life.”
