Royal Diversity
Diversity is discussed using a peaceful athletic competitive setting
————
Using a simple equation, Paulie’s three-character social group had the perfect sampling, explaining the diversity definition in the competitive environment. Paulie, an aristocratic son, whose Father turned his back on royalty wanting financial stability, achieving honest work ethics and succeeded in raising a family, seemed always to be calm. Confidently by his side close friend trust worthy companion village gypsy, Becky Sue and this committed juvenile relationship assisted the trio making decisions. Finally Princess Lida, the true majesty, depended on Paulie’s’ father’s financial moves securing her lifestyle making the teenage descendant a Prince, in her eyes, creating a strong bloodline bond.
One afternoon following classroom studies, Paulie sat on the park bench bleacher seat with a submarine sandwich from the local delicatessen franchise down the street. Watching his mates play field hockey, Paulie cheered them on, showing support. Match level and the hour getting late Paulie’s school needed to make a mandatory diversity change. According to the rules, members of a monarch, foreign or domestic, must play a designated minute quota, under the sovereign governing athletic handbook agreement.
“C’mon Princess Lida,” Paulie shouted when the noble appointment came on the field wearing a fashionable ensemble outfit that had more protection then a knight jousting during dress rehearsal.
Becky Sue heard the positive comment and twisted her stick knowing she needed to put in a greater effort, keeping the ball possession.
Time ticking away, Becky Sue accidentally slipped on a dew saturated grass blade allowing the opponent to steal the circular object. “Oh, Princess Lida you better be paying attention.”
Truth be told, Princess Lida was not paying attention, letting the rival foe score.
When both teams departed the field Becky Sue flew up her arms, “why did we have to make a switch at goalie?”
Wiping the crumbs off his hands, taking a big swallow, Paulie answered, “to prove the point that royals at times do not think, where do you want to find that out? Here on the ball field or the battlefield?”
Giving him a stern stare Becky Sue replied, “do you really want me to answer that question?” Suddenly Princess Lida came up from behind, “I am sorry about that,” she was very apologetic, “but this armor does not have any holes to see out of,”
Instantly, Paulie knew his powerful communication triangle was intact, meaning any enemy unlikely could pass over its border since at least one would be paying attention.
