Role Of Mother
I used to watch Ramayana and Mahabharata when I was a small kid. One day while I was watching Ramayana, a holy story of lord Rama which is popular in Hinduism culture. I heard something in very sweet and gentle voice that lord Rama was saying to his younger brother Lakshamana that meaning of one’s life is to surrendering for the service of others. His words really reached into my heart but they were unable to reach to the mind. In spite of my small brain like vermillion was incapable to comprehend the words of Lord Rama. I was trying to uncover the veil of questions through introspection in own mind which is like wavering and wandering mind. Same day’ in evening when watch was tickling at 9:00 PM. I was nearby the window which was nearer to the bed looking at the twinkling stars. I was thinking very deeply and profoundly like the great poet and philosophers to comprehend the meaning of Rama’s Words.
My mother whom I used to call her mom came to me. She kept her hands on my head and touch the forehead to make sure that if I was all right. She asked me in much compassionated voice that If I was feeling right. First I replied her in very hopeless voice that I had been as curious as cat to find the meaning of lord Rama and I told her the all my introspection that my tiny brain had did. I finally asked that if she could help me to quench my quest which had been roaming into my brain. She started to tell me a story of a man to quench my curiosity. After listening she can uncover my curiosity I became so excited my heart started to dance.
Long time ago there was a man named Marcos. He used to live with his family. Despite Marcos was a wealthy person. Moreover he was a responsible, compassionate and empathetic person who used to try his best to help others. In addition, sometimes he got in was not satisfied trouble due to his being compassionate and kind behavior. He used to ask himself “What the meaning of being kind is and being compassionate?” This veil; of question had made him as curious as cat. He used to in his terrace and ask while looking at sky and thinking about the meaning of being kind and being compassionate.
One midnight he left his family who used to love him. He moved towards the thick forest. Moons were on the pearl in the black dark night and the sky was full of shining like the diamonds. After walking for hours he reached to the jungle which was sleeping. Furthermore, he saw a giant tree was threatening him. He sat under of the large tree, notion of heaviness due to led him towards the calmness of slumber.
Chirp – like new fledge linnet birds awakened him from the calm of his slumber. Sun was smiling after winning the battle between dark and light. “Oh its morning “was he said. He was so hungry that he could eat the horse. He looked around him if there was something to eat. He thought that he could eat fruits and the roots. He started to search after wandering across the jungle. Finally, he saw apple tree burdened with the heaviness of apple.
He tried to pluck the apple with his hand by jumping but he was unable to get. He used a trick to get the apple. He picked a stick from ground and threw it towards the apple. Suddenly apples were prattled from the tree, he started to collect them. As he was collecting he realized that he had threw a stick to apple but the kind tree replied it with delicious apples. He was uttering with himself why did the tree returned delicious fruits instead of harming to one who tried to harm it. He picked an apple tried to have his first bite. As he was about to had his first bite, again he thought he had not offered something. Moreover, he was able to taste the delicious apple. Again he had become like curious child. This time he threw the apple on the ground and went towards the apple tree.
He asked to apple tree that why did not it replied angrily when he threw the stick toward it. Tree smiled and replied to poor man that he reduced the burden of heaviness of apple from it by throwing stick toward it. He became dumbstruck by seeing the way of tree towards the circumstances of life. Again he said in gracious voice that he had nothing to offer in return of the kindness tree showered on the poor man. Tree smiled lovingly towards the innocence of the poor man. Tree replied that the apples which were hanging on the branch of it, is not something that he had worked hard for. Its fruits are the grace of god which had the right of everyone. Moreover anyone can pluck it from the tree and eat its fruits while they are hungry. Furthermore, Tree said in gentle voice “Meaning of existence is to share everything that you have received as god’s grace. The more you share the less you need to be worried to protect what you have”. His eyes were opened he got his answer he satisfied with the answer of tree again he picked an apple and have it. He ate almost all the apples which he had collected. Finally he got his answers so he left the jungle, went home and lived happily.
I remember my mom’s words “Life must not live for possessions it must be lived for making life beautiful by sharing others a smile, being graceful and compassionate. Her words and her love always helped and motivated me to being an honest, compassionate and helpful person.
I think the life of a mother is to give shape of life to her children.
