Rage
Your rage's a fury that's all pain,
blight, and a plague of blood-red rain;
as though the wrathful will of God,
and sovran that one dare not trod
on, you're a hell that raises Cain!
And as a thunderous, loud peal,
and a thunderclap we all feel,
you're a hurricane that blasts the coasts,
destroying all that we love most,
and forcing us to shrink and kneel.
You're a violent, baneful squall;
that bodes misfortune for us all;
and you're an angry, perfect storm;
that's deadlier than the norm,
and worse than pride before a fall.
Ah, but behold! Your blood-red rage
now is replaced by God's writ page:
for though your life's one of emptiness,
your story's still a work in progress
wherein you'll see a golden age!
