Grey Thoughts

Once Upon A Suicide

She stands still and erect

Her arms both by her sides

Who by this means does elect

To end her sorrows. Besides

Her feet waltz in the air

A wee bit above the chair

She lies still and cold

Her arms both by her sides

A beauty, a sight to behold

Now every mouth derides

Her end and the means

To her poor judgement since.

She rises gingerly and feeble

Her soul scurrying away

With feet sapped and nimble

To a place before the Throne I say

The Verdict only she will know

As she reaps all she could sow.

She roams still silent up above

Soul purged, darkened with grief.

Eschew derision if you love

For mortals decide in their belief

How their breaths may come to an end

And their souls to heaven or hell ascend.
