Inka’s Curse Part 28: Cave
Then the insistent ringing in my ears quiets, and I start to feel the cold sweat on my body. I wake up the other two.
I wake up having a stomach ache.
The air was refreshing in the early morning as we walked up the abandoned unkempt path. The familiar sounds of the woods gently waking in the new day surround us. I paused, suck in the fresh air, and closed my eyes. As I opened my eyes again, I carefully look around the surrounding pine, mighty oak, and cedar trees, the birds fluttering through the majestic trees. Nature is always calming. Stepping cautiously off the path, we instantly find the entrance to the cave.
Titan can't join us. He's incapable to squeeze himself into the hole we found.
He said, "I can't enter it with you. But I'll be waiting for you no matter how long it takes. Even if I have to wait for the rest of my life."
"You should go home. Or to a local inn. It won't be safe out there. We don't know when we'll be coming back or even if we'll come back at all.”
"Don't say that. I'll wait until dusk.”
The cave's ceiling was above our heads. We could scarcely walk along the bottom quickly and comfortably. Pebbles shifted under my sore feet. As the sword steers us deeper into the cave.
The comfort soon ended, however. First, we had difficulty to stoop lower and lower and finally, nothing remained. But to move along on our hands and knees and crawl. There was a moment where we had to forcibly stop and turn back when the cramped conditions presented a grave risk of getting stuck. But I could detect the deafening sound of water and feel on my face a current of frosty air. I decided to try again, but Rachel couldn't continue. No matter how much she tried she couldn't fit. So I must bitterly do this alone.
Weary and fatigued, I can’t help but feel a nervous shiver as I advance warily into the cave. It is too late to turn back now. At least that’s what I’m desperately trying to convince myself. Aware of the I forced my way through a crack and felt relief as it began to open
Without warning, I slid straight into the channel of an underground stream gushing out from under a rock. Where I ended up was below a faint light animating from the same place as a cold gust of air. There was also a gentle glow of light and the week ground there was a faint scent. I stopped for an uncomfortable moment and looked around. I found what looked like a hallway.
The hallway leading upwards. I kept on until my way was blocked by an unusually massive door. I can undoubtedly feel the enchanted sword pulling madly knowingly on me something I don't know like the first time the sword tried to lead me here. I pushed the door open. It opened easily.
