We were sat in your front room

The music on, your friends were there 

and you weren’t taken far too soon

I dreamt of you again last night 

Billy walked from friend to friend

He licked our ears, we stroked his fur

Never thinking nights like this would end 

I dreamt of you again last night 

and the first times we went through 

It all seemed so hard back then 

but I had you to look up to

So I can’t wait to sleep tonight

To spend the time with you

In love, remembrance and celebration

Of the friend that I once knew
