I Can Sing...
I Can Sing with the Rain
At midnight, under the rain
I’m walking unshod and completely alone,
with light raincoat and friendly umbrella.
O-o! I’m feeling like hummingbird feather!
The light poles are dreamy. “Go to sleep,” they say.
“Don’t you see? - The rain is my friend!”
As a child I used to collect tiny drops
and to sing with them in my hands.
I was little and happy every time He was back!
…I looked at the mirror, exactly the one
that the rain cast for me in the mud.
Now, you know, I’m a busy adult...
In my fancy house, I have mirrors inside,
huge and heavy with a little bit dust.
Every morning, I look for an elegant deal,
but…no drops with which I can sing.
O, look! The rain came back again!
I can sing with my wonderful friend,
collect tiny drops, have my barefoot walk
and look at myself in His magical mirror AGAIN.
