Hey, Mister Life
Don’t run away, Days of my life, don’t run so fast.
I build some bricks of words shaped in poems,
one per day, seven per week, 365 poems per year.
Even in the leap year, I do not skip.
I do not want to disappear
like a pale shadow in a gloomy day.
This is not my way; I don’t like just to exist.
Trust me Life, I took a note how to slow down,
and I try so hard to make things right.
I keep in my hands the receipts
of all light-headed events,
the taxes of the unbalanced emotions.
I already paid most of the sour bills.
Don’t run away, my Life. Please, wait! Wait!
My best verses are about to be build
in a new style. Every day I hope to raise
a new structure with new rhythm and beat.
I want to finish my very own Egyptian pyramid
of love and dreams, and to cast the invisible light
in a darkest chamber in my heart.
Hey, Mister Life. I have promised myself
to discover a new Milky Way and paved
my path with smiles. I still have time to shine.
My Pegasus just gave new sharpened feather,
so, I can write day and night. I can design with words
a whole new Universe. Why you run so fast?
You know, I am not ready to use my last pass.
