Elysium Of Shadows

The poem "Elysium of Shadows" explores the deep and enigmatic love for a blind girl. It emphasizes the beauty and essence of her spirit, despite her lack of sight. The imagery suggests that true connection transcends physical perception, capturing the idea that love exists in a profound, almost mystical realm. The speaker expresses a longing to be intertwined with her, celebrating the intimate and transformative nature of their bond, suggesting that their love creates a space where both light and darkness coexist harmoniously.

I dedicate this poem to my lover Oladipupo Bose confidence.

————

In penumbral realms where shadows conflate,

A nymph traverses, spun from fate.

Her laughter, a murmuration of phantoms' sigh,

An ethereal cadence that flits and flies.

Though visive spheres evade her caress,

Her quintessence glimmers, a spectral finesse.

Each thrum, a riddle, ensconced in the air,

A sonorous enigma, an ineffable prayer.

My essence, a lodestar, drawn to her blaze,

In the void of perception, we spiral through haze.

I delineate contours of the unseen expanse,

In the tapestry woven by fate's furtive dance.

Her reveries glimmer in nebulous streams,

In the gardens of psyche where desire redeems.

With each whispered footfall, our shades intertwine,

In the labyrinth of longing, both cryptic and divine.

Let us entwine in this gossamer thrall,

Through the abysses where silence enthralls.

For in her embrace, the cosmos unwinds,

A cipher of ardor that transcends confines.
