Characters in My Poem

When the day settles and I realize

It’s different from the morning, I sense

Is it poetic enough to weave poems only about the ‘self’?

Can poems be without characters that perform the task of walking, talking and feeling?

Can a poem be written without addressing the voice of others?

I conspire and try to build narratives in fiction

I am left with no choices other than worthless imaginations

Merely, in my line of thoughts.

I repose into individualistic lapses, again

The evening settles and the dark night rises

The characters in my poem are left with no praises

No smiles and no braces

No laughter or any traces.
