Bedsheet
I never knew,
Memories are held by bedsheet;
Untill I laid a new one on the only day
You came to visit.
I remember how you sat ;
On that particular space,
Where I jumped on ;
Just after the moment you left.
I haven't figured out yet.
Why I never washed that
Or laid again.
I can feel;
My bedsheet is soaked in memories and emotions.
A stain of love there, some drips of tears there,
A warm imprint of people who once held each other there.
I still catch myself running my hands
over things you touched,
looking for the echoes of your fingertips.
From the book to the floor;
Now just Your smell they spreads.
I laid the same bedsheet today
Though its kinda squished.
And I still find your voice
On the crease.
I feel your smell;
That's sticked as a greese.
Now I cant even step on it!
I vibe; you are there exactly
on that sheet.
That was also the first time;
I bowed on anybody's feet
Kissed them and greeted.
Now I lost the world but
Found self as an entity of your regime,
I just recalled these;
Just..
By the memories held by this bedsheet,
That I laid on the only day;
You came to visit.
