Azrael
The shadows glow fiercely,
As I hold you in my arms while you cry under the moon.
The flowers in your hands wilt under my fingers
as my touch wrenches their zest of life away.
My hand inches forward,
Your heart stops beating
For me.
Your angelic features beg me to stop.
I want you to hold me forever
I want you to kiss me forever
But this is heaven laughing upon my fate,
That I can never hold anybody who will miss me.
If I can't save you, I might as well die
But here lies the irony of my life;
How can one die,
When he is named the Angel of Death.
